There was a time when I used to hire people based on their potential, till I understood very recently the grave importance of “Intentions”.

Having potential and achieving it are totally different. Intentions on the other hand can help one exceed potential by leaps and bounds.

Earlier we used to hire seeing interviewee’s smartness, presentable demeanor, good communication skills and most importantly, high potential. I know you are looking for skills, but it’s rare that you find skills as well. We HR assume that we have to train people on skills ;). And now with time I realized, even candidates with high potential will not be assets till they have good intentions to learn and become useful for their Organizations.

Not just employees every individual with a good intention will make the best out of life and any situation. They will not just be useful themselves but touch lives in a way that everyone around would become more efficient and positive.

People with good intentions are the most positive people. They not only do their work with dedication, but also have very good aura. That helps in creating a positive and engaged work environment.

Of course the same can also be inculcated by Coaches who help people understand the value of positivity and its direct impact on productivity. More and more companies are investing in it to increase the efficiency and keep there employees in the right direction.
