Today I remembered the past HR Anuradha in me 🙂
When it comes to campus recruitment, I have become a natural at identifying and developing talent, all thanks to my past 15 years of extensive work in this area across India.
I have been conducting campus drives in major universities, since ages now. Today when I went to see Mr. Razdan, principal CIHM and Mr. Sitesh Srivastav at IHM Chandigarh as a performance coach, coincidentally there was a team from ITC Delhi for a recruitment drive. I could see the same campus recruitment environment. Students spread all over in their best attire and revising their interview speeches. When we entered, they made way for us and wished us with a huge and warm smile. I am sure a few mistook us as the recruiters from the corporate and ushered us to the interview room instead of the office. Believe me, I was happy to be misled and followed them in the direction to play along :).
I felt nostalgic and went to meet the the recruitment team from Delhi. I shared the feelings with them. Don’t remember all names except the adorable Ms. Preetika Gill. We all shared anecdotes of our experiences as recruiters. Do’s and dont’s and the criteria for hiring. Nothing much has changed even while the industry was hospitality and not the same IT industry I was used to. What fun it was to meet all from the HR fraternity.
Meet you all students as your performance coach next month. I am sure you will crack all interviews and have successful businesses and a beautiful life that you will appreciate.
